Hi, I'm Ivan Chang.
Originally from Taiwan, now based in Hong Kong. I came into product design sideways, with a Biomedical Sciences degree from CUHK, then a self-taught move into design and building.
My science background gave me an analytical, experimental way of working that I still bring to every product.
The type of designer I am
A systems-thinking product designer who turns complex workflows into intuitive digital experiences people actually use. I rely on short feedback loops, structured component systems and asynchronous communication to drive impact across time zones.
Product-oriented mindset
I start from the business outcome and the people doing the work, and take ownership of getting there.
Clear, structured reasoning
I break complex problems into decisions a team can see, discuss and build on.
Collaborative by default
I share tools, insights and reusable components, so the whole team designs faster and more consistently.
